AMEDY project completion: Publication of results
The Erasmus+ project AMEDY (Active Media Education for Disabled Youth), which ran from February 2019 to March 2021, is now officially closed. The project developed a free online training for educators, a handout with support strategies and a toolbox with good practices and a guide for awareness-raising activities. All results are now available as OER materials on the project website.

Multiplier Events in Greece
In Greece, IASIS organized and implemented two Multiplier Events dedicated to the dissemination of the AMEDY Toolbox, to relevant stakeholders and representatives of Greek institutions that are working in the disability field.

Awareness Webinar in Belgium
We will complete the Erasmus+ project AMEDY in March this year. As an awareness activity, Belgium project partners UCLL put together an automated webinar that will be made available to all students within their college UCLL.

Digital expert exchange on awareness-raising activities in Germany
In Germany, Stiftung Digitale Chancen organised a digital expert exchange "Active media work with intellectually disabled young people". The focus was on how to create awareness for the situation of people with disabilities in the context of the digitalization of our society.

Evaluation of the online training
The online training, which was developed as part of the project and piloted by educational professionals in autumn 2020, has now been evaluated. The feedback from the professionals is very valuable and will be used to optimise and finalise the digital learning offer.

Design Thinking - An Exciting Method for Developing Support Strategies
At the end of last year, the project consortium was busy implementing so-called co-design workshops together with its partner organisations. The aim is to jointly develop strategies for action in the area of tension between "digitalisation and people with mild intellectual disabilities".

On the occasion of the International Day for People with Disabilities, the project consortium of AMEDY hosted an International Conference on the topic of “Active Media Education for Youngsters with an Intellectual Disability”, which addresses the right to inclusion in online social life for people with intellectual disabilities.

This Monday, the last digital office hour of the German online training "Active Media Education For Disabled Youth" took place. This means that the pilot phase of the training is now officially over in Germany.
